THOMAS SMITH FOR JUDGE
Texas Court of Criminal Appeals - Place 3.
PROVEN CONSERVATIVE LEADER
Thomas Smith has spent a decade serving alongside the most conservative and effective Attorney General in the nation, Ken Paxton. During that time, he has been a conservative warrior for strengthening the rule of law and our Constitution, fighting for justice for victims of crime, and working on laws to protect our children. Thomas was instrumental in banning sanctuary cities in Texas, as one of only two lawyers who worked with the Legislature to enact that prohibition into law. He helped write multiple bills cracking down on human trafficking, to protect our kids and young women from the evils of trafficking predators. He protected religious liberty, spearheading passage of a law protecting churches from being forced to make adoptions that violate their religious conscience.
After being named a delegate for President Donald J. Trump in 2020, Thomas served as a lawyer on the President’s Election Integrity Team in the battleground state of Arizona. In 2024, he released an impactful video, “Last Call For America”, about the dangers facing our nation.
Whether it be his work for Attorney General Paxton or support for President Trump, Thomas has demonstrated time and again his dedication to and his willingness to fight for conservative constitutional principles.

THOMAS SMITH’S PHILOSOPHY AND WHY HE IS RUNNING
“We are in danger of losing our country, and even our beloved state of Texas. Activist judges running rogue courts who shred the Constitution and the rule of law are fueling that. When Republicans vote for a judicial candidate, they expect the Constitution and the rule of law to be protected above all else. They do not expect judges to betray the Constitution and the people by making law from the bench.
I'm running to keep Texas safe and ensure that justice is served by restoring a conservative, limited judicial philosophy to cases before the court. Our state can no longer afford destructive judicial activism,.”
